Alarm Analaysis for 808nm diode laser hair removal machine

No matter what kind of diode laser 808nm hair removal machine you are applying, it may have any of the alarms after long time operation, you may meeting the following alarms during your treatment, and we will give you some alarm analaysis for 808nm diode laser hair removal machine:

Status NO-01: Please check diode laser or diode driver 

The system detects that the number of laser bars in the laser handle has been damaged by more than two pieces, or that the output voltage of the switching power supply is too high relative to the load laser or that the control circuit is damaged.

Solutions No-01: First confirm if it is the laser bar problem

  1. Shut down, restart the device, enter the ready state, observe the light exit of the laser handpiece, observe that how many laser bars still have a weak red light, and how many laser bars are not bright.
  2. If the diode laser stack damages more than 3 pieces laser bars, please contact the factory to replace the laser stack.

3. If there is only 1-2 pieces laser bar not bright, you still want to continue using it. You can re-updated the motherboard program. Please refer to the update procedure. Or adjust the output voltage of the switching power supply, about 2-4V, to reduce the output voltage of 2v for each bar damaged. This is an emergency operation, and it is recommended to replace the new laser with long-term use

Status NO-02: Operation wrong. The system needs to enter the ready state before the laser can be turned on. In other states, an operation error message will appear when you press the button on the hand or press the foot pedal.

Solutions NO-02:Release the switch and press the “Ready” button on the screen.

Status NO-03:Laser stack disconnection

The Laser stack disconnection: Laser stack disconnection or poor contact between the laser stack and the wire in the handle.

Solutions NO-03:

  1. start from the the control board to the laser stack in the handpiece, check if the line is loose.

2. The laser stack inner disconnection and damaged. If there is a spare laser stack, replace it. And contact the manufacturer.

Status NO-04: Please replace the cooling water and ion filter.

Solutions NO-04:

  1. Observe the ionic meter on the back of the machine at this time, and give priority believe to the reading of the ionic meter. If the reading is greater than 20, that means the water quality is poor. To drain the water, you must add pure water, and then wait for the machine to run for half an hour. During the observation of the meter reading, it should continue to drop until it is below 20, and the alarm disappears.
  2. If the ionic meter reading is below 20, the machine still alarm. The solution is as follows:

1) Check if the main control board and the ionic meter head connection are loose and tighten it.

2) Update the program. (The update procedure is actually to remove the alarm settings, this is an emergency means, not recommended)

Status NO-05: Water flow rate low. System traffic is displayed in the lower middle of the interface.

When the circulating cooling water flow speed in the main unit is lower than 1.6L/min, the system will give an alarm and the alarm prompt will appear in the status bar

Solutions NO-05:

  1. If the flow rate value displayed on the interface is “0 L/min”, then:

1) The device is turned on without a handle attached. The solution is to insert the laser handle.

2) Signal problem, which refers to the virtual connection between the flow sensor and the control board.

3) The board is damaged, generally the middle white optocoupler OW1 is virtual connected.

4) The flow sensor is damaged.

  1. If the interface shows that the flow rate value is lower than 1.6L/min: when the device is shipped from the factory, the water flow rate is between 2.3-2.8L/min. If the actual flow rate rate is lower than 1.6L/min, the cause may be:

1) The hand is not in contact with the host connector. The CPC water connector is in a semi-contact state and the flow rate is low. Reconnect the laser handpiece at this point.

2) The air pressure inside the water circulation system is not uniform with the outside air. At this time, the water injection port can be opened by turning on the water injection port joint so that the inside of the circulating water is balanced with the external atmospheric pressure.

After long-term use, individual pumps are aging or damaged. Here you need to check each pump. The troubleshooting method is to first reduce a power supply line of a water pump in order, and compare the actual flow rate. If the flow of a water pump is disconnected and the flow is reduced, it is proved that the disconnected pump is working properly. If the water flow does not get smaller, the disconnected pump is damaged. And so on. Check all pumps to find out all the damaged pumps. Replace with a spare pump. 1) The filter is aging and block, replace the filter.

The ion filter color can be observed and if it is dark, it needs to be replaced. Before replacing the filter, please use the mobile phone to take a picture of the original filter installation direction, replace the new filter, the direction should be the same as the original. When replacing, pay special attention to the direction of the arrow of the filter bottle. The new filter arrow after replacement should be in the same direction as the arrow of the original filter. Incorrect orientation of the filter can cause the exchange resin in the ion filter to flow out of the entire equipment circulating water system, eventually clogging the treatment handle. 2) Blockage inside the handle or inside the water pipe. Contact the factory or local dealer to replace the handle.

Status NO-06: Water temperature high. Over temperature alarmThe cooling water temperature range should be between 15~28℃. If it higher than 34℃, the laser will stop.

Solutions NO-06:

1. At this time, it is necessary to reduce the room temperature to within 30 degrees Celsius, and wait for about half an hour, the refrigeration system will gradually decrease the water temperature low than 34 °C

Also other lasers may have different problem alarms type, the alarm name different but meaning and checking way are similar:

NO-01-Max Count Overflow!
1. The number of times the handle is used exceeds the limit;
2. You can contact the manufacturer and enter the background to clear the count;

NO-02-Electric High!
1. Shut down immediately. In the case of shutdown, observe whether the handle bar is burnt out!
2. Carefully check the power supply, whether the wiring at the handle is correct;
3. If none of the above, restart the computer and enter the work interface to see if there is this alarm; if not, adjust the energy from low to high in turn to see if there is still. If it still appears, please contact the manufacturer;
NO.03-Temperature high!
Exclusion steps:
1. Compare whether the temperature displayed on the working interface is greater than the background alarm temperature. Sometimes the background alarm temperature will be lowered due to interference or misoperation;
2. The temperature may be broken, the condition can be replaced to judge;
3. Other reasons;
NO.05-Water Flow Error!
Exclusion steps:
1. Observe whether the water pump is started, if the machine is slightly vibrated when the water pump is started;
2. Determine whether the flowmeter wiring is correct and whether the connection terminals are connected properly (the terminal shrapnel sometimes loosens);
3. The reason of the circuit board;
NO-07-Foot/Switch Error!
1. The handle can be replaced if possible, but the handle is not replaced, which proves that the handle button or its connecting wire is short-circuited;
2. To detect whether the handle button is short-circuited, it can be measured with the help of a multimeter;
3. The reason of the circuit board;
NO-09-Handle no detected!
Please contact the manufacturer to help solve the problem;
Reason: The handle recognition component is broken, or its connection is loose;
NO-09-Replace new handle!
1. The handle is not a handle provided by our company;
2. Other reasons.
